Attention

Today I want to talk about attention. We've been told for many years now that we should fly under the radar. That we shouldn't stand out. That we should be seen and not heard. All these statements are false. Not only are they false, they will in actual fact hold you back in life.

But why? Why can a statement as simple as "don't get too much attention," hold you back? Because it assumes that you are not good for society. Telling someone to stay below the radar is like telling someone that if they are on the radar they will cause trouble or harm. This is why so many people are afraid of attention. Since they could understand words, their parents have convinced them that they may harm society or that they are no good for society. So when they grow up and start getting attention they feel bad. Who wouldn't? If you were brainwashed to believe that you will harm society, why wouldn't you freak out when society gave you any kind of attention?

So now that we've covered why people are afraid of attention. Let us go over why attention is important and why you need it. To make things very simple here, let's pretend I found the cure to cancer. Would I want attention? Of course! The more attention I get the more people I can help. Do you see how that works? If you have a message or product that can help the world then you should seek attention. Not just to have it but to help others. Because if help isn't there then you are going to be afraid of attention.

So the next time someone tells you that you seek to much attention, remember this!
