Back and Again

Hello everyone! My name is Enrique and I am happy to announce that "The Greatness Times," articles are back! It has been a very long time since I last wrote one of these articles but I never forgot about them because I always knew from the beginning that they were something I had to do, something that would bring value to peoples lives. 

And that is what I want to talk to you guys about today. The importance not only of persistence but the importance of your purpose. I know people are always talking about purpose but most of the time they don't do a very good job at really transferring its importance. So I'm going to take a shot at it in this article. 

Now that I'm thinking about it, I have probably already written an article about purpose but that is okay because I have learned and grown so much since the last time we talked. Also, If this is your first article, welcome and know that the purpose of these articles is to help you. It is not to write a perfect articles or a cute article that makes you feel good. The primary purpose of this article is to help the reader. That said let us get started with today's short message.

Okay now that I am writing this I have changed my mind and I want to talk about what I learned this week which is what I will be doing every week with these articles. 

I want to talk very briefly about a YouTube video I just recorded you can check it out on my youtube channel. It had to do with reasons why people don't take advantage of opportunities. And in this article I though I'd share those because they are very important points. 

1. The first reason that people don't take advantage of opportunities is because they are not in present time. In other words their attention, at least some portion of it is in the past. And this happens when the present moment reminds an individual about some negative incident in the past. Now this may sound totally rational and okay only it isn't. Because you are allowing the past to affect your present and future by validating it/bringing it back to life. 

2. Second reason people don't take advantage of opportunities is because they are afraid of failing. Look you should not be afraid of failing because failing is instantaneous. The second you fail, that failure is in the past and like we talked about you should not allow the past to determine you present or your future. Another important point about fear of failing is you can always try again. You can always make a second attempt and a third and so on. The only time you really fail is when you quit. 

3. And the third reason that people don't take advantage of opportunities is because they lack the right knowledge or they have the wrong knowledge. Let's say I told you that you had to build a house. Yes you could have the courage to build said house but if you don't have the knowledge, then that house isn't getting build any time soon.
