Self-Improvement 24/7

I want to bring to your attention the importance of self-improvement: to improve self, to make oneself better. Now, of course, the question arises, "why be better?" And this is a very important question because it will either validate or invalidate your ability to be better. If you don't have a reason to be better, then you won't be. So as you can very easily see, this question is very important. Why should you be better? Well, the answer is fairly simple, we have life and we have death. In the mind of a mostly sane individual, life is the most attractive. And so any and all activities that aid in the attainment of this goal, become very attractive to him. Consequently, any and all activities which keep him from the goal become very unattractive. For example, the man who wants to be better will find working out as an attractive activity. The man who has a greater interest toward death will find drugs and alcohol more attractive. After all, those things hurt the body, to say they do anything other than lead to death would be diabolic.
And so we come back to this question, why is self-improvement a good idea?
Because living and survival is a good idea.
