Weekend Work Routine

Today I wanted to talk about weekends. There is so much opportunity here and I want to make sure you take advantage of this. I know it may seem that I am always talking about work and all that stuff but you need to understand that for me, work doesn't mean sitting at a desk and doing a job.

Work to me, means starting, doing and finishing some task that gets you closer to your dreams. This can be anything! It can be exercise. It can be going on a date with your partner along with another friend and their partner(networking opportunity). You can take an old friend to lunch. You can volunteer. All these things are work.

This is why I am always saying, "get to work." Because you should always be doing things that get you closer to your dreams. And this stuff doesn't have to be boring. Most of it might be, I don't know. But it most certainly doesn't have to be. Doing exercise may make some people happy and it may be something other people like to do. The point I'm trying to make with that example is that there are things that get us closer to our dreams, that some of us really enjoy.

So, one thing you should do on weekends, is pack your Saturday's and Sunday's with those activities you enjoy and that get you closer to your dreams. If you like working out, maybe do some extra workouts. Or maybe do your workouts at a really cool place. If you like socializing, maybe plan a dinner with friends you can network with and grow with. This way you do things that lift you up both mentally and also in regards to your goals.

This strategy will help you tremendously because it will get ready for the upcoming week. If you do fun things on weekends that have nothing to do with your dreams, Monday will not be very fun. In fact your entire month or year may not be very fun. This is because you are transitioning from two completely different wavelengths. Try this out, and I promise you, your weekends and weekdays will be much better. You will be much better.
